Scholarship Fund

The Scholarship Fund was initially set up in 1959 by Mr. H. Owen Jones. Mr. Jones was the first lay member of The Grace board. He recognized the need for the hospital to encourage and assist employees to undertake further studies.

Interested individuals and/or groups make donations to the fund which is administered by The Winnipeg Foundation. Earnings on the investment are made available annually for scholarship grants. Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Fund Committee twice a year (spring and fall). All full-time and part-time staff are eligible to apply after one year of employment. On average, approximately 40 employees each year receive grants. Contact Educational Resources at (204) 837-0346 for more information.
